The journal ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces chose Robert Winkler’s contribution to decorate the cover of the March 2017 volume 9 / issue 9 and 10.  ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces is a peer-reviewed scientific journal with an impact factor of 7.145 that was established in 2009 by the American Chemical Society. ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces covers amongst others advanced active and passive electronic/optical materials, colloids, biomaterials and bio-interfaces, polymers, hybrid and composite materials.

 

After presenting a coputer aided design to fabricate complex 3D nanostructures via Focused Electron Beam Induced Deposition (FEBID) the authors demonstrated in their most recent paper that these nanostructures are applicable for plasmonic applications.
