Drift Tube Scan

Category: Microscope & GIF

Description: This script is to activate and control drift tube settings of Image Filter Control (IFC). It's primary goal is to "scan" DT voltage between a specified range at a set step ("scan step" in user interface) and a set interval ("interval" in UI). The scan range is defined by the "scan range" field of the user interface, which can be higher than current DT voltage (enter a postive value) or lower than current DT voltage (enter a negative value). Once the scan is activated, it will scan back and forth inside this range until it is stopped. The script is running as a background thread so it consumes very limited CPU cycles (usually less than 2%).
