Scatter Plot

Category: Data Processing and Evaluation – Images
Description: This script creates a scatter plot of the two foremost images (for info on scatter plots see Grogger et al., Micron, 29, 43-51, (1998)). It works with EFTEMs and x-ray maps (SEM and TEM), and probably with other things too. Use this script to analyse the relationships between the two images. The script uses cross correlation to work out the area of overlap. If the result is not good, the user can do it manually. (You can use this script to splice together two images). The overlapping regions in the images are then extracted and the scatter plot calculated. Ratio images, the overlapped images and some numbers are also produced. This script is designed to be used in conjunction with the Trace Back script, also posted here.
Comments: This script was updated to address some issues which arose after updating Digital Micrograph from 3.6.x to 3.8.2. I haven't tested this new version with DM 3.6.2, but it should be compatible.
