Thickness map scaler

Description: This script approximately calculates the thickness map for a microscope based on thickness maps acquired with different accelerating voltage and/or collection angle (e.g. another microscope). To use it, open a thickness map (either EELS or EFTEM). Then run the script and enter the as-acquired microscope parameters in the top boxes, and the parameters to be calculated for in the lower boxes. Click the button to return the approximate thickness map at the new parameters.
Comments: This program may not work well for collection angles beyond 15 mrad. Egerton mentions that the dipole approximation used for the equations behind this script break down around 15 mrad.
