Description: Script to calculate the net angle resulting from an initial and final set of goniometer tilt values. Use this script to calculate the net angle resulting from the two sets of tilts. This may be of use when tilting between zone axes and you wish to confirm that the zone axes you are working with are consistent with the tilts used. This script makes extensive use dialogs to display the information in an intuitive and user friendly manner. This version of the script was written for our JEOL 2000FXII which does not support computer control of the goniometer - all values have to be plugged in manually. For 2010F microscopes (computer control of goiniometer) there is a version of this script which can source the current tilts automatically by clicking a button. If you manually enter the relevant data in the Final X and Y boxes the script works fine.
Comments: version 1.2 updated to fix incorrect label in dialog box
Acknowledgements: Works with any microscope - just manually enter all the data.
