Trace Back

Category: Data Processing and Evaluation – Images
Description: Trace back script to enable an ROI in a scatter plot to be mapped back to the original images which created it and allow this to be done dynamically. This script only works with scatter plots created using the script called 'Scatter Plot' by the same author. Place an ROI in the scatter plot image then run the script. The intensity ranges defined in x and y by the roi are displayed as is the AND image of the two - this displays only the intensity due to the ROI. The ROI can be moved and scaled and the trace back images will be updated dynamically - it's a bit slow, but for free - it aint bad. To move the ROI quickly - without updating stuff as you go - hold down the ALT key while moving the ROI. Once it is roughly where you want it, release the ALT key and then reposition the ROI slightly (use the arrow keys to nudge the ROI one pixel in any direction), to induce an an update of the information. If you use it lots, please acknowledge the stirling efforts of the!
Comments: Thanks to Bernhard Schaffer for supplying all the code relating to connecting objects.
