Prof. Ray Egerton visits FELMI-ZFE

Last Friday we were very happy to welcome professor emeritus Raymond Egerton who gave an impressive talk about “Spatial Resolution of Low-Loss EELS”.

Our institute is maintaining a very good relationsship with Ray Egerton since the 1980s – we published interesting articles together. Please have a few stations of his career: Cambridge University (B.A.), Imperial College, London (Ph.D. in Science of Materials), University of Oxford (Assistant Professor), University of Alberta (Professor, Department of Physics). Since 2004 he has been professor emeritus of the University of Alberta and since 2006 he has been visiting scientist at the National Institute of Nanotechnology, Edmonton, Canada. For almost 25 years he has been editor of the journal MICRON.
